Dayak people of Loksado used to get the bamboo rafting for carrying their commodities to sell in Kandangan town on the downriver. There was no road connected to the town, so this transportation was chosen, even they must trek for two days to reach home. Nowadays, they no longer use it for carrying forest revenue but only selling the bamboos in town. Getting this bamboo rafting adventure, you will experience the effort of the inland people to sustain their living by full day rafting and maneuvering through thrilling rapids while enjoying the beautiful scenery of tropical forest and the exotic of Mount Kantawan, a limestone covered by various vegetation and caves. You will find flora and fauna showing up occasionally along the riverside such as; wild orchid species, proboscis monkey, monitor lizard, birds, mouse deer, and many more.
Day 01: ARRIVAL IN BANJARMASIN –LOKSADO
Meet at airport and directly transfer to Loksado, and then proceed to trekking on Meratus Mountain. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent. (L,D)
Day 02: RAINFOREST TREKKING
After breakfast, we will be trekking to the virgin jungle crossing shifting cultivation, cinnamon and rubber trees, longhouses, hills, hanging and suspended bamboo bridges, rivers, and secondary forest. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent at riverside. (B,L,D)
Day 03: RAINFOREST TREKKING
We will be trekking to Landuyan village crossing rivers, secondary forest, shifting cultivation, hills, etc. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on longhouse. (B,L,D)
Day 04: BAMBOO RAFTING – BATU LAKI
Get a bamboo rafting adventure race down the Amandit river crossing the exotic tropical rainforest alongside the river, while some animals are showing up occasionally, such as; black monkey, monitor lizard, mouse deer, birds, etc. Afterwards, transfer to Batulaki hill to set a camp site under the cliff on riverside. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent at riverside. (B,L,D)
Day 05: ROCK CLIMBING
Get a full day rock climbing on the crags of Batulaki cliff with various tracks both sport and artificial. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent at riverside. (B,L,D)
Day 06: CAVING – BANJARMASIN
Exploring the Batulaki cave then proceed to Cempaka village for exploring people take material out of the ground to find raw diamond on a traditional diamond digging. Afterwards, Proceed to Banjarmasin for overnight on hotel. (B,L,D)
Day 07: FLOATING MARKET – DEPARTURE
We will leave to floating market in early morning to explore the unique culture of Banjarese who trade their commodities from boat to boat and return to hotel crossing Banjarmasin River while sightseeing people unique activities at riverside, free at own leisure till the proper time for transferring to airport for your next destination. (B)
