Duration: 07 Days/06 Nights Grade: Hard Trekking in Borneo’s jungle, you will see a real rainforest grown by huge trees and flowed by wonderful rivers and streams. Exploring the daily life the inhabitants to unite with nature is very interesting and getting their friendly attitude and hospitality, tends to make visitors immediately feel at home in their midst. Day 01: ARRIVAL IN BANJARMASIN Meet at airport and directly transfer to hotel for check in. Next, exploring Banjarese river civilization by taking an afternoon canal sightseeing. Afterwards, return to hotel for overnight. Free at own leisure. Day 02: BANJARMASIN – BARABAI – MERATUS MOUNTAIN After breakfast, we will drive to Cabai village in the foot of Meratus Mountain. Next, we will start our trekking in Meratus range crossing longhouses, secondary forest, villager shifting cultivation, and rivers. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent. (B,L,D) Day 03: RAINFOREST TREKKING Proceed to Kadayang crossing virgin forest, secondary forest, rivers, hanging and suspended bamboo bridges, hills, and shifting cultivation. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent. (B,L,D) Day 04: RAINFOREST TREKKING After breakfast, we will be trekking to Haratai waterfall crossing secondary forest, rivers, hanging and suspended bamboo bridges, hills, and longhouses. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent. (B,LD) Day 05: RAINFOREST TREKKING Trekking to Kapayang village crossing secondary forest, rivers, hanging and suspended bamboo bridges, hills, and longhouses. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on bivouac/tent. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight on longhouse. (B,L,D) Day 06: KAPAYANG – BAMBOO RAFTING – BANJARMASIN Trekking to Loksado for about 1,5 hour and directly racing down the Amandit river by bamboo rafting crossing the exotic tropical rainforest alongside the river, while some animals are showing up occasionally, such as; black monkey, monitor lizard, mouse deer, birds, etc. The bus will wait on the downstream for transferring to Banjarmasin for overnight on hotel. Day 07: FLOATING MARKET – DEPARTURE We will leave to floating market in early morning to explore the unique culture of Banjarese who trade their commodities from boat to boat and return to hotel crossing Banjarmasin River while sightseeing people unique activities at riverside, free at own leisure till the proper time for transferring to airport for your next destination.
