Our staff will take you to the most eastern tip of Java Island, just across the narrow Bali strait. The trip goes through the rural landscapes of West Bali. Lunch is served in local restaurant on the way. Short ferry crossing (45 minutes) to get to Java side and then proceed for a city tour in Banyuwangi, bechak (peddi-cab) ride visiting the kampongs in the city, traditional market and an old Chinese temple. End of the afternoon drive up to Ijen Resort and Villas, your luxurious accommodation, perched at the edge of the rainforest. Dinner at the hotel. Stay overnight in mountain tranquillity. Day 02 Ijen Crater – Baluran National Park Early wake-up call. After breakfast our Ijen Discovery vehicle will carry you to Ijen Crater. Lush vegetations, clove and coffee plantation precede the rainforest where humidity, wildlife, giant ferns and big trees cover this 2468 ha nature reserve. From the Park Ranger post starts the 90-minutes hike to Ijen Crater. The stunning unveils at 2383 meters altitude. The lake eerie color and smoke wafting from bright yellow sulfur deposits create the landscape desolate, barren and vibrantly alive. Sulfur miners emerge carrying up to 80 kilos of ores in bamboo basket on their shoulders, climbing up along the treacherous path. After exploring Ijen Crater, We will drive down back to Banyuwangi Town for short city then directly drive to Baluran National Park for observing wildlife in this area. Lunch will be served at local restaurant and at late noon, we will escort you to Hotel for one night accommodation. Stay over night and take dinner at Hotel.
